we are
Coming to Katherine in 1991 to study agriculture, Carney spent his early years as a cowboy “ringer” in the Top End working on stations. In his early 20s, he became the youngest ever tour guide for Adventure Tours Australia. He went on to work for Mulgas Adventure Tours, then started his own business, Carney’s Safaris. a 20 year hiatus with the Northern Territory Police force, 2026 sees Carney returning to his passion: helping people have a great time in the outback.
